HLA and HLF Bring Cheer to Children’s Home of Hope
As part of its continuous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) and Hong Leong Foundation (HLF) came together to pay the Children’s Home of Hope
(CHH) a visit after raising a total of RM60,000 for CHH through the HLA-HLMT Fit Charity Run 2019.
Located at the 4th
floor of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM
) building, CHH has been established since 1996 to provide free accommodation to underprivileged children who are undergoing cancer treatment in Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and their caregivers. It is a place designed with a ‘home away from home’ concept for the children to rest and recover while undergoing treatment.
The visit was arranged for the purpose of spending quality time with the children and their caregivers. A collection of books and toys were also brought over for the children and staff to read and play with. The event ended with lunch together with the children, their caregivers and NCSM staff.
